Estrés psicológico percibido en estudiantes de una universidad privada en Lima Norte

Objective: Determine the level of academic stress in students of a private university located in Lima Norte.
Materials and Methods: The work was developed from a quantitative approach and descriptive-cross-sectional design. The population was made up of students from a private university located in North Lima. The sample was 600 students. The technique used was the survey and the instrument was the PSS-10 scale, which consists of 10 items.
Results: Regarding the age of the students, the minimum was 18 years, the maximum was 35 years and the average age was 23.41 years. In terms of sex, women predominated with 60.6% (n=406) and men with 39.4% (n=264). Regarding perceived stress, those students with high stress predominated with 62.2% (n=417), followed by those with a medium level with 34.9% (n=234) and a low level with 2.8%. (n=19).
Conclusion: Regarding perceived stress, those students with high stress predominated, followed by those with a medium level of stress and a low level of stress.
