LIFESTYLES OF YOUNG PEOPLE FROM A MARGINALIZED POPULATION LOCATED IN EASTERN LIMA

Abstract

Objectives: Determine the lifestyles of young people from a marginalized population located in East Lima.

Materials and methods: The research study was developed from the quantitative approach and its descriptive and cross-sectional methodological design. The population was made up of 160 young people from a marginalized population located in East Lima. The technique used was the survey and the data collection instrument was the Fantastico questionnaire.

Results: Regarding lifestyles, the regular level predominated with 53.1% (n=60), followed by the good level with 17.7% (n=20), excellent level with 16.8% (n=19), bad level with 8.8% (n=10) and existing level of danger with 3.5% (n=4). According to its dimensions in family and friends, the excellent level predominated with 89.4% (n=101), in physical activity the excellent level predominated with 88.5% (n=100), in nutrition the poor level predominated with 70.8 % (n=80), in tobacco, toxins predominated the existing level of danger with 73.5% (n=83), in alcohol the existing level of danger predominated with 65.5% (n=74), in sleep, stress, the bad level predominated with 53.1% (n=60), in personality type the excellent level predominated with 68.1% (n=77), in introspection the bad level predominated with 54.9% (n=62 ), in control of sexuality the excellent level predominated with 87.6% (n=99) and in others the regular level predominated with 54.9% (n=62).

Conclusion: Regarding the lifestyles, the regular level predominated, followed by the good level, excellent level, bad level and existing level of danger.
