TOTAL, FAMILY RISK AND FAMILY FUNCTIONALITY IN HOUSEHOLDS OF A FAMILY GROUP IN SAN JUAN DE LURIGANCHO, 2021

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between total family risk and family functionality in families of the Las Palmeras II-Comuna 8 Family Group, in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, 2021. Materials and methods: The study had a quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of 200 families from the Family Group. The data collection technique was the survey and the instruments were the Total Family Risk Questionnaire and the Family Apgar Questionnaire. Results: Regarding family risk, threatened families predominated with 58% (n=116), followed by high-risk families with 40.5% (n=81) and low-risk families with 1.5% (n=3). According to its dimensions, in affective condition, families with high risk predominated with 63.5% (n=127), in practices and health services, families with threat predominated with 53.5% (n=107), in housing and neighborhood conditions. families with low risk predominated with 72.5% (n=145), in socioeconomic situation, families with threat predominated with 77% (n=154), in terms of handling minors, families with threat predominated with 35.5% (n=71) and regarding the management of minors, families with threats prevailed with 35.5% (n=71). Regarding the management of minors, families with threats predominated with 35.5% (n=71), followed by families with low risk with 34% (n=68) and families with high risk with 30.5% (n=61). Conclusions: There is a relationship between total family risk and family functionality in families of the San Juan de Lurigancho family group (p<0.05).
