Risk of type 2 diabetes during the health emergency, in people residing in an urban area in Los Olivos

Objective: It was to determine the risk of type 2 diabetes during the health emergency, in people residing in an urban area in Los Olivos. Materials and methods: This study has a quantitative approach with a non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional methodological design. The population consisted of 155 people. The data collection technique was carried out by means of a survey and the instrument used to measure the variable was the FINDRISK Test established by 8 indicators, which allows identifying the high risk of developing DM2 in the next 10 years. Results: Regarding sex, the female predominated with 32.3% (n = 50). Regarding resilience, the moderate level predominated with 30.3% (n = 47). In relation to the dimensions, the predominant age was 45 to 54 years with 45.8% (n = 71), in BMI more than 30 with 43.2% (n = 67), in abdominal girth more than 102 cm in H or more than 88 cm in M with 51.6% (n = 80), in physical activity they answered Yes with 56.8% (n = 56.8), in consumption of fruits and vegetables they answered no daily with 63, 9% (n = 99), in use of antihypertensive medication answered No with 91% (n = 141), in high glucose values they answered No with 61.9% (n = 96) and in family history they answered Yes: mi direct family with 49.7% (n = 77). Conclusions: Regarding the risk of type 2 diabetes, the high level was more frequent.
